This Fibre tester is a handheld instrument designed for on-site verification and inspection of optical links in mixed copper and Fibre environments. It operates as part of a technicians toolkit to measure optical power and loss, inspect end-faces, and Interface with PC software via USB for result management. The unit accepts common Fibre connectors and runs from mains or rechargeable battery power, supporting field troubleshooting and routine commissioning tasks.
The instrument accepts LC, ST, SC and FC adapters, enabling inspection of the most common connector families used in industrial and data centre cabling.
The internal nickel–metal hydride battery provides around 2 hours of operation on a single charge when used in handheld mode.
It is rated for use between 0°C and 40°C, making it suitable for typical indoor and sheltered outdoor maintenance activities.
Test results can be transferred via the USB Interface to a PC for storage and analysis using cable test management applications.
