This hinged frame provides a robust metal mounting solution for modular connector hoods and housings, designed to allow cable entry from the TOP while offering dependable mechanical support in industrial assemblies. It is intended for installation where a compact, multi-contact Interface is required and integrates with standard housing components to facilitate secure cable routing and connector access.
The die-cast zinc body provides conductive continuity that can be used as a chassis connection for potential grounding or local shielding when bolted to mating metal housings.
Internal terminations and clamping arrangements accept conductors from 4 mm² up to 10 mm², allowing both fine and heavier power cables to be connected without adapter parts.
It is configured for TOP cable entry, which simplifies vertical routing in stacked enclosures and reduces strain on horisontal cable runs.
The frame uses M3 threaded fixing points compatible with common small metric screws for secure attachment to matching housings.
The 1 module is for use with hoods and housings from range 2 – the Harting 10A Series (see stock no. 181-0662 which is typical of that range)
