Hirose 1.2 mm DF57 Series Swing Lock Header Connectors
1.2 mm DF57 series low profile header connectors with a reinforced swing lock design and a unique double locking mechanism for increased cable retention. The swing lock design incorporates both positive and friction locks within the connector body for a secure connection. A positive locking mechanism secures the header to the receptacle. The locking portion of the header engages with moulded lances on the mating crimp socket locking it firmly into place for a secure cable connection. A tactile click is provided when the lock is securely engaged. A complete electrical connection is made by the friction lock mechanism which also produces a tactile click when fully engaged. When mated the header and socket housing have a low profile height of 1.4 mm for an effective mating length of 0.42 mm. The housings of these DF57 series header connectors feature integral moulding that eliminates space between the terminals and the case to prevent solder wicking. Metal fittings on the housing provide extra solder retention preventing the housing from breaking away from the terminals due to tough cable routing.
