These fans draw in dust and pollutants which can affect the contacts of conventional jacks that have exposed contacts. The S1K Mini jack features a sealing cover that protected the top and bottom of the jack connector, avoiding the possibility of contamination of the contacts.
The plastic retaining nut is provided as standard.
