TE Connectivity GTAP Gel Tap Splice Kit

GTAP gel tap splice kits for connecting, insulating and sealing low voltage splices of up to1000V in underground and overhead environments.The GTAP splice connector accepts a wide range of cables, both copper and aluminium, and has four ports for additional flexibility. The hinged enclosure is installed over the splice connector and has a snap-lock mechanism to ensure the cover remains closed.The PowerGel sealing gel which is already in the cover provides pressure on the cable and the connector creating a moisture seal which is specially formulated for use in high temperature environments of -40 to +105°C. The PowerGel also acts as a vibration damper and can be pulled away allowing safe re-entry to the connection without the need for cutting tools.These GTAP gel tap splices are ideal for use in street lighting applications.
